Judith Giwa-Amu is a confident, result-driven, self-motivated female professional with an academic background in medical science and research and a professional background in education in emergencies (EiE), school health, and child-friendly schooling systems strengthening. She has worked over 32 years in the Health and Education sectors in service to the Federal Government of Nigeria and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). Judith is skilled in the provision of support to education systems strengthening in Development and Humanitarian settings. She is certified in Result-based management with a sharpened programme delivery focus that is aligned with strategic planning. Additionally, She possesses skills in resilience building, education sector leadership, and humanitarian coordination. In the course of her work with UNICEF she has acquired programme implementation, core coordination and critical Education in Emergencies Information Management skills. Over the years, she has amassed and currently utilizes innovative skills in initiating strategic partnerships to deliver for Nigerian children taking into consideration key cross-cutting issues including gender, disability, climate, and protection. Judith is passionate about gender mainstreaming, early learning initiatives, school safeguarding and inclusivity in emergencies.
